I came to visit Korea a decade ago and could never to back to North America, except for short visits. 4G, wifi everywhere..internet in North America...drive me crazy...even business mail, what the heck is overnight delivery? Everything is done so fast- you can have a package across the country in a couple of hours- door to door.
Great article!

I know that Korea has had an advanced internet culture for a number of years and find it impressive.

Comparing internet penetration in a small country like Korea and a city state like Singapore to a giant, farflung country like the USA is not really meaningful.

Better compare Singapore to a major American city leaving out the vast rural and wilderness areas.

Great post Stephanie. Having just be to China for the first time I heartily agree that the US is no longer the benchmark for much of the world. We are simply another fast follower. I blogged about my experience in Shanghai in case your readers are interested, briankenny.word press.com. It parallels yours.

Another great blog Stephanie - while I've heard investment analysts here in Canada talk about SK Telecom, you included lots of associated detail I'd never heard about - Korea's one inspiring country in terms of pushing digital/electronic/etc. boundaries, isn't it?
